BLOTTER: Police reports published Aug. 25

City of Lockport

• CHARGED: Jeri Lynn Snow, 33, 6493 Dysinger Road, Apt. 17 was charged with driving while intoxicated, unreasonable speed and making a left turn on a roadway. The patrol responded to an accident at 6:03 a.m. on Saturday on High Street. According to the report, Snow was going west on High Street and going too fast to make a left turn on South Transit. The car went through the intersection, over the side walk and into the Rite Aid parking lot. Snow had a strong odor of alcohol and failed three of four sobriety tests.

• CHARGED: Jamie L. Abrahams, 26, 242 Chapel St., Apt. 2 was charged with tailgating, ability impaired by drugs and leaving the scene of a property accident. The patrol responded to Clinton and Chapel Streets on Saturday evening for the report of a possible hit-and-run accident. The victim reported her vehicle was struck from behind by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect continued to drive and pulled into a driveway on Chapel Street. According to the report, the suspect appeared to be impaired and refused to take a chemical test.

• CHARGED: Adam E. Lemay, 27, 163 Spalding St. was charged with false impersonation at 6:24 p.m. on Saturday Genesee Street. The patrol observed Lemay standing on a porch on West Genesee Street. The police was familiar with Lemay who had several warrants for the suspect. The warrants were confirmed by the Niagara County Sheriff’s department. Lemay gave a false statement and did not reveal his real name until after being taken into custody.

• CHARGED: Daszell Taylor Jr., 56, 45 South St., lower, was charged with third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment. The victim said that Taylor accused her of stealing his money and grabbed her by the throat and began choking her Saturday morning. According to the report, he threw her to the ground and begin kicking her in the ribs. He grabbed a butcher knife and began swinging it at her, causing a small cut on her left hand, and held a knife to her throat and threatened her. The victim got away and called the police. She had bruising on her neck, her right side and left hand. The victim requested an order of protection. Taylor was located on Locust Street and taken into custody without incident.

• CHARGED: Shawn K. Pittler, 20, 133 Chestnut St. Apt. 3 was charged with third-degree bail jumping. He was arrested after a foot pursuit Friday on Garden Street. Pittler was wanted on five warrants, including three for failure to appear at Lockport City Court.

• CHARGED: David O. Allee, 30, 208 East Ave. Upper was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of government administration and a pedestrian violation on Walnut Street on Friday. According to the report told an officer, “I will get you before you get me.” Allee crossed the street in the middle of the block. The defendant pushed the officer and fled into a yard to Walnut Street. He was tackled by the police at Walnut and Locust and taken to the ground. While being handcuffed, Allee refused to comply. The defendant sustained an injury during the arrest and was taken to Lockport Memorial Hospital.

• CHARGED: Shaun H. Green, 23, 133 Hawley St. Upper was charged with disorderly conduct and a pedestrian violation. While at Gonzo’s Bar for an unrelated incident Saturday at 1:51 a.m. the police saw Green being escorted out of the bar by staff members. Green appeared highly intoxicated and was yelling obscenities when he walked down the street. He was advised to stop shouting, according to the report. He allegedly yelled more obscenities at the patrol and at the crowd outside Gonzo’s before being arrested.

Town of Lockport

• PETIT LARCENY: A Tonawanda Creek Road man reported Sunday someone took a roll of sealed one dollar gold uncirculated coins from an RV he had parked in the rear of his property. The victim said the door to the RV was ajar and the suspect gained access through the window vent. The value of the coins was $250.

• CHARGED: Charlie W. Horton, 32, 316 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license. The patrol responded to the area of Dysinger Road and Beattie Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Sunday for the report of a reckless driver and found the white Cadilliac in front of the Town of Lockport Court. Horton had a valid learner’s permit, but the vehicle's passenger had a non-driver ID only with six current suspensions. The passenger, also from Buffalo, had an active warrant for failure to appear on a cocaine possession charge issued out of the Erie Police Department in Pennsylvania. NYSPIN showed that Erie Police Department would not extradite outside Pennsylvania. Horton and his passenger were released at the scene and the Cadilliac was towed.

Town of Niagara

• CHARGED: Scott Danield Haseley, 27, 2462 Niagara Road, Niagara Falls was charged with aggravated DWI and speeding. Patrol responded to Porter Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard to assist a deputy on a traffic stop at 12:16 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was stopped for going 62 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to the report. The driver who had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage, glassy eyes, slurred speech, and poor motor skills. Haseley failed five field sobriety tests and also gave a positive breath sample on a field Alco-Sensor test, according to the report.
