City of Lockport
• DWI: Alicia Lynn Dames, 25, 53 Elmwood Ave., was charged Wednesday morning with driving while intoxicated and disobeying a stop sign after a 3:35 a.m. traffic stop at South Transit and Walnut streets. Dames allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. She was released on her own recognizance and is due Monday in Lockport City Court.
Town of Lockport
• BURGLARY: A Woodmore Court couple reported Monday that overnight, someone entered their garage through an unlocked side door and stole several items. The stolen items, including a Dell laptop computer and three DeWalt saws, are worth about $1,650, the report said.
Pendleton
• DRUGS: Leonard V. Fink Jr., 17, 2564 Colvin Road, Tonawanda, was charged early Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding and driving without a proper license after a 1:08 a.m. traffic stop on South Transit Road. Deputies reportedly saw suspected marijuana in the front passenger seat and asked Fink to get out of the car. Fink reportedly had $1,005 in cash in his pocket. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Cambria
• BURGLARY: A Cambria Road man reported Monday that over the weekend, someone entered his barn and stole a 1993 Yamaha YZ motorcycle worth $900. The motorcycle had two flat tires, but it appeared it was driven away, the report said.
Wheatfield
• ASSAULT: Alexander C. Ross, 50, 156 62nd St., Niagara Falls, was charged Tuesday afternoon with second-degree assault. Ross allegedly argued with a co-worker at Executive Lawn Care on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Ross allegedly grabbed a metal bar and struck the man across the back, causing him to fall to the ground. He allegedly jumped on the man and began to choke him. Another employee reportedly yelled he was calling the police, and Ross got up, ran to his car and left the area, the report said. Deputies spoke to Ross, who agreed to meet them at Wheatfield Town Court. He was released on his own recognizance.
• LARCENY: A Laur Road, Niagara Falls, woman reported Tuesday that she visited a relative’s home on Walmore Road on Monday when her relative asked for a ride to his friend’s house. As they were driving there, the relative allegedly jumped out of the back seat of the car and fled the scene, taking the woman’s purse with him. The purse contained a cell phone worth $200, as well as $1,530 in cash, which the woman had intended as a down payment on an apartment, the report said.
