LOCKPORT —
City of Lockport
CHARGED: Nicholas P. Zimmerman, 22, 291 South St., was charged with resisting arrest. Zimmerman was seen walking at 7 p.m. Friday by police. Zimmerman, who had an active arrest warrant from the City of Lockport, began running away at Washburn and Evans streets. The patrol lost sight of him, but he was located on South Street and arrested.
Cambria
CHARGED: Shawn Darnell Thomas, 37, 519 Woodbine Ave., Rochester, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and an equipment violation. Thomas was stopped at 3 a.m. Saturday on Saunders Settlement Road for having with no functional rear license plate lights. His driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay child support. It was discovered Thomas had an active warrant issued by the City of Niagara Falls for second-degree assault, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree harassment. He was turned over to the Niagara Falls Police Department and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cambria Court.
VEHICULAR ASSAULT: Two Niagara Falls residents were injured while driving south on Walmore Road near Mount Hope Road at 12:10 a.m. Saturday. The victims reported a vehicle began to tailgate them and hit the Toyota from behind. The force of the intentional collision caused the driver to lose control of the car, travel through the ditch on the west side of the road, roll over several times and come to a rest on its tires. The driver was able to drive the car to a nearby residence to call for assistance and the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Department responded. The driver and passenger were treated at the scene and transported to Mount Saint Mary’s Hospital for further evaluation. The offenses are criminal mischief, leaving the scene of personal injury accident and vehicular assault.
Hartland
INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT: A Gasport man was injured while working on a farm on Seaman Road Friday. The man was working on top of a Terra-Gator manure spreader when his left thumb became stuck in an air cylinder. The piston on the top of the cylinder retracted and caught the victim’s thumb, according to the report. The victim was not able to free his thumb. Hartland Volunteer Fire Department was assisted and the victim was transported to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance.

PETIT LARCENY: A Connecticut fisherman reported that sometime between 7 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday someone stole two rod and reel combination fishing poles off of the back of his boat. Each fishing pole was valued at $300.
North Tonawanda
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A window at a Lee Avenue residence was broken Friday afternoon, according to police reports. The window was valued at $150 and no arrests were reported.
PETIT LARCENY: A BMX bicycle was stolen Friday evening from the Rite Aid on Meadow Drive. The bike was worth $315, according to reports and no arrests were made.
ASSAULT: A Payne Avenue man was assaulted early Saturday while at Ava’s Place on Webster Street. Police responded, but no arrests were reported.
City of Tonawanda
WEAPON: Willie J. Cannon III, 22, 24 Longs Ave., lower, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with the intent to use it following an altercation Friday at a Main Street bar. The bar owner called police after Cannon became unruly and began challenging other patrons to a fight. According to reports, Cannon produced a knife and threatened people in the bar with it. The bar owner called police and Cannon was taken into custody. He is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
