• CHARGED: Christopher C. Starkweather, 18, 303 Niagara St. was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, third degree burglary and petit larceny. The patrol responded to a burglary report on South Niagara Street where the victim reported that someone entered a garage behind his rental property in July and stole copper piping and damaged property. The 25-foot of copper piping was valued at $875 and the damage was $900. According to the report, Starkweather sold the material for $43 and used the money to get his dog out of the SPCA.
• CHARGED: Ruben Gutierrez, 50, 6 Glen Abbey was charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change and an equipment violation. The patrol observed a Jeep at Walnut and Washburn Streets on Saturday night without its lights on. According to the report, the vehicle crossed over the center line several times and was stopped at Main and Transit Streets. There was a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. Gutierrez had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and was disoriented. He failed field sobriety tests.
• CHARGED: Felicia M. Thomas, 21, 55 Franklin Ave., Apt. 1 was charged with third degree assault and Rodney A. Lilley Jr., 46, 6 John St. Apt. 4 was charged with second degree obstruction of government administration. The police responded to the report of a fight at 25 Main St. at 11:30 p.m. Saturday and observed the victim who was covered with blood and had a laceration under her right eye. The victim said she was punched in the face several times by Thomas. Lilly, who was not involved, was asked several times to leave the area. According to the report, he was disrupting the investigation and refused to leave. The victim had to be treated at Lockport Memorial Hospital.
• CHARGED: Richard J. Steimer, 23, 6253 Autumnview Station was charged with DWI, unreasonable speed, failure to keep right and an equipment violation. According to the report, Steimer was observed driving at an unreasonable speed on South Transit Street 3:50 a.m. on Sunday with no lights on. The police could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage and Steimer failed field sobriety tests.

• PETIT LARCENY: A Shawnee Road woman reported Saturday that all 105 chicks were taken sometime overnight from the well-built chicken coop. The chicks were only 3 days old and still very dependent on humans. The value of the chicks was $230.
