City of Lockport
• HARASSMENT: Anthony L. Mitchell, 34, 221 Shirley St., Apt. 1, was charged Wednesday morning with second-degree aggravated harassment. A Market Street woman reported Sept. 15 that Mitchell had been calling her “constantly” for five days, leaving 12 messages. Mitchell allegedly threatened the woman during one of the messages, saying he would beat her up or have someone else beat her up, the report said. He was arrested Wednesday morning and held without bail.
• VANDALISM: Kenneth W. Houghton Jr., 27, 18 High St., Apt. 1, was charged Tuesday afternoon with fourth-degree criminal mischief. A resident of Urban Park Towers told police he heard a noise in the rec room on Sept. 13 and went to see what it was. The man said he found Houghton standing over a vending machine, which had been tipped over. Houghton reportedly told the man he needed help picking the machine up, but he left before the machine could be picked up. Houghton later admitted to knocking the machine over, the report said. The machine broke a mirror when it fell, causing $200 in damage, the report said. Houghton was banned from Urban Park Towers. He was arrested Tuesday and held without bail.
• LARCENY: Paul E. Donoughue, 36, 4545 Isherwood Drive, Niagara, was charged Wednesday morning with petit larceny. Donoughue allegedly asked a Grosvenor Street woman if he could use her cell phone on June 11. He allegedly told the woman he was going to the store and would be back soon with the phone, but he never returned. The phone is worth about $400, the report said. Donoughue was arrested on a warrant Wednesday morning.
• LARCENY: David L. Graves, 19, 272 Green St., was charged Wednesday morning with fourth-degree grand larceny. Graves allegedly entered a girl’s bedroom on Prospect Street on Aug. 20 and stole a Virgin Mobile cell phone, a silver iPod Nano, $50 in cash and a Kodak digital camera. A friend reportedly told police Graves had stolen the items. Graves turned himself in Wednesday.
Town of Lockport
• BURGLARY: A Robinson Road man reported Tuesday that between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., someone entered his apartment and stole $1,200 in cash from his bedroom.
• TRESPASSING: Deputies responded to Lincoln Avenue about 6:04 p.m. Tuesday after a report of a conflict between two business owners. One business owner reportedly became upset about the parking situation between the two businesses and “made a scene” inside the other business, the report said. The man was told to leave and was reportedly uncooperative with deputies when they arrived. He was advised not to go back to the other business, the report said.
• VANDALISM: A Cameron Drive man reported Wednesday morning that overnight, someone dumped oil in a pond on his property. The damage to the pond is estimated at $500. The county health department was notified to respond and help clean up the spill, the report said.
