BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 8
Town of Lockport
• DWI: Richard R. McNeil, 49, of Military Road, Buffalo, was charged Friday evening with driving while intoxicated, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle, driving without valid inspection, inadequate headlights and failure to keep right after an 8:49 p.m. traffic stop on South Transit Road. State troopers reportedly found a hypodermic needle with suspected heroin residue inside McNeil’s van. McNeil was taken into custody and allegedly registered a 0.16 percent blood alcohol content on a breath test.
• DWI: Melissa M. Wornick, 22, of Clarence, was charged early Saturday with DWI, speeding and driving without a valid license. Wornick was allegedly clocked going 57 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 78. She allegedly registered a 0.16 BAC on a breath test.
• DWI: Aaron M. Watts, 29, of Lake Road, Barker, was charged Sunday evening with felony DWI and failure to keep right after an 8:43 p.m. traffic stop on Hartland Road. Watts allegedly blew a 0.27 percent BAC on a breath test. He was held in lieu of $2,000 bail.
• DRUGS: Dominic J. Cirello, 17, of Priscilla Lane, was charged Sunday morning with unlawful possession of marijuana after a 1:42 a.m. traffic stop on Bowmiller Road. State troopers reportedly found less than a gram of marijuana inside Cirello’s car. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due Tuesday in Lockport City Court.
Cambria
• STOLEN TRUCK: A Saunders Settlement Road man reported Sunday morning that overnight, someone stole his 2000 Ford F350 pickup from his driveway. The truck is worth about $10,000, the report said.
Town of Niagara
• DRUGS: Mark A. Kinney, 23, 4751 Williams Road, Depew, was charged early Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to signal and using a mobile phone while driving. Deputies stopped Kinney about 1:51 a.m. on Lockport Road. Kinney reportedly passed field sobriety tests, but deputies smelled marijuana inside the car, the report said. When deputies asked if they could search the car, Kinney reportedly said, “Go ahead, knock yourself out.” Inside the car, deputies reportedly found chunks of crack cocaine, hydrocodone pills, marijuana and a scale. Deputies asked Kinney why he allowed them to search the car if he knew there were drugs inside, and he reportedly said, “I thought maybe you wouldn’t search it then.” He was held in lieu of $1,000 bail and is due Nov. 3 in Niagara Town Court.
