BLOTTER: Police reports published Nov. 7

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal

City of Lockport

• MULTIPLE CHARGES: Joshua Meadows, 29, of 25 Marshall Place, was arrested on several charges Thursday night after patrol attempted to stop him for an alleged traffic violation. Police said that when they activated emergency lights on the patrol car, Meadows failed to stop, then led them on a chase. Meadows disobeyed several traffic signals and swerved in and out of traffic until he came to a stop at his residence, according to the report. When Meadows got out of the vehicle, he failed to cooperate with police and was taken into custody, the report said. Meadow’s passenger came out of the house during this time and reportedly refused to comply with patrol’s request to “go back inside.” Meadows was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, fleeing the scene, second-degree obstruction of government administration and failure to obey traffic signs. Meadow’s passenger was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On Thursday night, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from a Lockport-Olcott Road, Newfane, woman about damage to her vehicle at The Old Depot on Youngstown-Lockport Road. A police report said upon arrival, patrol observed significant scratches and kick marks to the victim’s car, with damages reportedly totaling $250. Deputies are still investigating the incident and looking at security camera footage to determine the identify of the suspect.
