MARIJUANA: Hope M. Manna, 17, 87 North Transit Road was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Wednesday. Police responded to Lincoln Avenue for the report for area residents near Lockport High School of suspected marijuana According to the report, Manna was found with a marijuana and a marijuana pipe at 7:49 a.m. 

CHARGED: Richard P. Vance, 44, 1936 Falls St. Apt 3, Niagara Falls was charged with imitation controlled substance. According to the report, Vance sold and imitation controlled substance to an undercover agent of the police on Tuesday on North Transit Street.  The substance was sold in place of Hydrocodone. Vance was the victim of the Thursday a shooting outside of the Gulf Station on Washburn Street in January. He was seen limping away from the scene and was found by police hours later in a Washburn Street apartment. He was treated at Erie County Medical Center.

FIRE: An Old Beattie Road woman’s 2009 Pontiac caught fire Monday, Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies reported. Deputies were called, as Rapids Fire Co. pulled the vehicle out of the garage to keep the fire from spreading to the house. The woman said she just parked the car in the garage, when she smelled smoke. A fire started in the backseat. Niagara County Origin and Cause arrived for further investigation. No damage estimate was available.

LARCENY: LaJon M. Chandler, 23, 260 Garden St., was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. Sheriff’s deputies said Walmart on South Transit Road had a shoplifter in custody. Chandler reportedly took a couple of shirts and a pair of shorts, totaling $19.64, without paying. Chandler was given an appearance ticket and is due May 21 in Lockport Town Court.
