TRESPASS: Christopher L. Mulcahy, 28, 3 Edgewood Drive, Apt. A Medina was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing Wednesday. Police responded to Genesee Street at 8:50 p.m. for a report of a man jumping a fence and entering a backyard. When confronted, Mulcahy fled. Mulcahy was located on Washburn Street near Works Place. He was taken back to Genesee Street where he was identified by the caller and arrested. Mulcahy was uncooperative and hostile during booking procedures and not fingerprinted or photographed.

MISCHIEF: A Lockport-Olcott Road man told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday someone damaged his vehicle and the siding of his house with rocks. The damage to the vehicle, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, was estimated at $16,000, the deputies reported. The victim believed it took place overnight when he reportedly heard a loud noise.

LARCENY: Someone pried open the northeast door Thursday to Lakeview Orchards on Lake Road and took a Lincoln welder with welding rods, valued at $800, deputies reported. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

DWI: Brian P. White, 28, 4352 Chestnut Road was charged with driving while intoxicated. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly saw White heading east on High Street without stopping at a stop sign. Deputies said they also saw White cross the fog line and double yellow line. When speaking with White, he reportedly had poor motor skills, slurred speech and an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Deputies asked White if he had been drinking, to which he admitted to having five beers. He allegedly failed a number of field sobriety tests. While being arrested, deputies said White kept interrupting the Miranda rights by shouting “I’m not refusing!” several times. White was transported to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.

RECOVERED VEHICLE: Sheriff’s deputies early Monday found a vehicle in a parking lot at 6695 South Transit Road that Amherst Police had advised they were looking for. The vehicle was later determined to have been stolen from Amherst. A deputy stayed with the vehicle until Amherst police could make arrangements to have it towed.
