PETIT LARCENY: Beverly A. Williams, 52, 6494 Dysinger Road, Apt. 8 was charged with petit larceny Thursday. According to the report, Williams took two packages of Hanes T-shirts valued at $34 from a Washburn Street store and put them in her purse. Williams said her boyfriend told her to do it.
Frederick K. Driver, 55, 161 East Ave., lower was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and passing a red traffic signal Thursday. The police responded to the report of a reckless driver from a caller who followed the vehicle. According to the report, Driver passed a red light at Washburn and Walnut Streets and failed to yield to the police. Driver staggered as he left his vehicle, had glassy eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverage. He failed field sobriety tests and was uncooperative while being processed at police headquarters.
CHARGED: Jay T. Kenneth, 28, 2 Antoinette Drive, Depew was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Wednesday. The police responded to a fight outside the Bewley Building on Market Street at 3:15 p.m. where two men were reported to be fighting. A friend of one of the men had a full stay-away order of protection against Kenneth.
