ASSAULT: Hank A. Valentine, 29, 6 Walnut St. upper was charged with third-degree assault and two counts of third-degree menacing Wednesday. Police responded to Walnut Street at 3:30 a.m.  According to the report, the victim reported she was struck in the face with a closed fist. The police located Valentine, who had an active warrant, in the apartment. He was held on $2,500 bail and is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on Dec. 16.

ASSAULT: Todd M. Delavalle, 24, 6443 Robinson Road, 1C was charged with third-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest Tuesday. The alleged offense occurred on Nov. 16. According to the report, Delavalle struck the victim three times in the face. While in the patrol car, Delavalle pulled a can of beer out of his pants leg and began drinking it. He tried to run away and was subdued. Rural Metro was called and he was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for evaluation. An arrest package was filed. Delavalle returned to Lockport for processing and has held on $100 bail.

CONTRABAND: Dominique Latrice Hunter, 24, 3343 9th St. Niagara Falls was charged with introducing contraband into prison and unlawful possession of marijuana Tuesday. According to the report, a corrections officer found Hunter with a white balloon underneath her tongue when she was entering the jail visiting room. The balloon contained marijuana, small white papers and several match heads. She was was arraigned in the Town of Lockport Court and bail was set at $500

UPDATE

Lockport police charges of possession of a controlled substance, speeding and driving with tinted car windows against Jason C. Castricone of Medina and published in this space on May 9, 2008, were dismissed by the City Court of Lockport two months later. Instead, Castricone was convicted July 14, 2008, of failure to obey a traffic device, given a one-year conditional discharge from the complaint, and paid $200 in fines.
