HARASSMENT: Benjamin J. Fountain, 17, 201 Pine St., Apt. 2, was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment. A Lockport High School teacher reported to Lockport Police that Fountain reportedly yelled obscenities while in the hallway and pushed the teacher. According to the arrest report, Fountain was told to take his hat off, which he did at first but then put it back on. Told again by the teacher, Fountain reportedly yelled “Why you following me?” at him and then continued to yell, screaming in the teacher’s face. Fountain threw his backpack on the floor of a classroom, pushed the teacher and allegedly told him, “I’ll punch you in your mouth.” Fountain was suspended for five days and was slated to appear in city court Wednesday.
LARCENY: A High Street man told Lockport Police someone took his wallet out of his vehicle Monday. The victim said he left his unlocked vehicle in the UAW Hall parking lot on Walnut Street for five minutes. The wallet had $97 in it. A report was filed.
Town of Lockport
LARCENY: Deanna L. Cusatis, 20, 6343 Robinson Road, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. An employee at Walmart on South Transit Road told the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Cusatis was seen placing items in her purse, then leaving the store without paying for them. She was reportedly leaving with 14 items in her purse, ranging from clothing to a water bottle, all totaling $80.38. Cusatis was taken to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.
MISCHIEF: A Randolph Drive woman said someone spray painted her backyard porch in black paint the word “boom” with an arrow pointing to the victim’s propane tank. About $100 in damage was done and a report was filed.
MARIJUANA: Brett L. Jakubec, 26, 6395 Michelle Drive, Town of Lockport, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said a Lockport man was pulled over for driving without a license, at which point Jakubec got out of the vehicle. A deputy searched the vehicle and reportedly found a small silver container of suspected marijuana. Jakubec said it was his, the report said. He was given a court appearance ticket.
