THEFT: Alison M. Smith, 31, Lockport, was charged with theft of services. New York State Police said Smith was given an appearance ticket Thursday on Lincoln Avenue.

DWI: Thomas J. Deville, Jr., 30, 4898 Beach Ridge Road, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated. The Sheriff’s Office said a deputy saw Deville traveling north on Hinman Road making a left turn onto the Lockport Bypass. When Deville did, the deputy saw his vehicle was missing a back tire and was driving on its rim. The deputy pulled Deville over and reportedly determined he was drunk. Deville was taken to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail and will appear Tuesday in Lockport City Court. The deputy went back to the scene and determined Deville had hit a guard rail and a telephone pole, losing a tire in the process. The pole was not damaged.

The man rents the room, but nothing else was taken from any other room in the house. Among the items was an LG 47-inch television, a Playstation 3 and a video game, all totaling $1,550. The investigation is continuing.

Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies said Harnish was traveling east on Rochester Road and reportedly crossed the center median line four times and the fog line twice.
