LARCENY: Pernell L. Hobbs, 29, 39 Cave St., upper apt., was charged Sunday with petit larceny. A Cave Street woman told Lockport Police Hobbs had come to get some of his belongings, but after he left she noticed two of her rings were missing. The rings were valued at $100, the report said. Police arrested Hobbs on Cave Street.

MARIJUANA: Cheryl M. Aquino, 17, 6598 Dysinger Road, apt. 9, and Harley V. Krantz, 20, 3401 Randall Road, apt. 2, Ransomville were charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Lockport Police reportedly pulled Krantz over for having an expired inspection sticker and no plate lights, but while speaking with him, officers said they noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The arrest report said three pipes with burnt residue and a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance was found in the vehicle.

ASSAULT: William Bell, 58, 83 South St., apt. 2 was charged Saturday with third-degree assault. Lockport Police said a South Street man reported that Bell had hit him in the face several times. Bell was arrested without incident.

MARIJUANA: Scott J. Lindemuth, 28, 51 Park Place, was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Niagara County Sheriff's deputies said Lindemuth was pulled over on South Transit Road for not wearing a seatbelt, at which point deputies reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies reportedly found a medium sized bag of a green leafy vegetable substance, which Lindemuth admitted was marijuana. He was given an appearance ticket to appear July 9 in Lockport Town Court.

LARCENY: A Willowbend Drive woman reported Saturday to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and took her purse and black Avon bag. No evidence was found on scene, the report said. The purse contained the victim's ID and some of her medications.
