CONTEMPT: Edward Nicholas Wright, 30, 317 Beattie Ave. apt. 3 was charged with first-degree criminal contempt Friday. According to the report, Wright violated an order of protection which is valid until 2018 that required him to stay 10 blocks away from Pine and Gensee Streets. He turned himself into police headquarters.

Newfane

D.W.I.: Charles R. Hawk, 52, 5771 West Main St., Olcott, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said Hawk reportedly came close to driving into Lake Ontario, driving from a parking area and getting stuck in the beach area near the lake. A deputy determined Hawk was drunk and he tested positive for alcohol on a road side Intoximeter. Hawk was taken into Niagara County Jail on $250. He is scheduled to appear Oct. 15 in Newfane Town Court.

Wilson

LARCENY: A Youngstown Lockport Road, Ransomville man reported this week to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office an unknown person stole two trail cameras from a property on Randall Road. Combined, the cameras cost $275 and were attached to trees for hunting reasons.
