POSSESSION: Adam S. Rathke, 25, 7015 Ridge Road, Lockport was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and controlled substance not in its original container at 2:37 a.m. Monday. Patrol approached a male who appeared to be trying to open the doors of a gas station at 7084 Chestnut Ridge Road. The male stated that he was picking through the used cigarettes. He was taken to the front of the patrol car where he was searched. During the search, a small hollow flashlight was found in his shorts pocket and inside of the flashlight were 3 orange pills in plastic wrapping. Further it was learned that Rathke had an active warrant. While patrol was handcuffing him, a syringe was observed on the ground at Rathke’s feet. The syringe was full of a murky liquid. Rathke was transported to the Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.
LARCENY: Patrol was dispatched Monday to The Woodlands for a report of a larceny. The Park manager said sometime overnight an unknown person/s stole at least three storm drain covers from the streets in the park. The manager said they have several different scrappers that come through the park on the weekends and could not name any specific suspects.

MISCHIEF: A victim told police Monday that sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, an unknown person slashed three tires and keyed or scratched both sides and the hood of his vehicle while it was parked at 389 East Ave.
POSSESSION: Roger M. Hueber, 20, 325 Ferry Ave., Niagara Falls was charged with criminal possesison of a controlled substance at 12:17 a.m. Monday after he was stopped on Briston Avenue for a vehicle and traffic infraction. During a background check it was discovered that Hueber’s license was suspended. While taken into custody he was found to be in possession of two prescription tablets.
DISORDERLY: Kenneth W. Houghton Jr., 31, 6 Walnut Ave. Apt. 2, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:20 p.m. Sunday after police responded to a Walnut Avenue tavern on a report of a dispute. Police spoke with Houghton and his father, both of whom were allegedly “out of control and intoxicated.” A victim said Houghton punched him in the face but he did not wish to pursue charges. Police told the Houghtons to leave and not return for the night. After he got outside, Houghton allegedly screamed profanities. He was told to leave quietly, but Houghton swore at officers as he walked away.
DWI: Willfredrick Volmy, 26, 32 Wyoming Street, Buffalo was charged with driving while intoxicated at 6:28 p.m. Sunday after he was stopped on Church Street for a vehicle ad traffic infraction. As the officer spoke with Volmy, a strong odor of alcohol was detected. Volmy failed field sobriety tests. He was held in lieu of $250 bail.
