MARIJUANA: Steven A. Gajewski, 18, 3953 Dale Road, Gasport was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding. According to the report, Gajewski was pulled over for speeding on South Transit Road at 11:52 p.m. He was found with paraphernalia that had marijuana residue.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: David  J. Whitman, 23, 453 Walnut St., lower was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The alleged offense occurred on June 4 on Market Street but Whitman was arrested Wednesday at his home on Walnut Street. According to the report, Whitman was obstructing traffic by walking against the light at Market and Exchange streets, causing the traffic to slow and go around. His girlfriend was pulling a wagon with a 3-year-old child. He allegedly lunged at a passing vehicle. Police Officer Aric Morgan, who was in uniform in an unmarked vehicle, witnessed the incident and warned Whitman to stay out of the street. Whitman did not use the sidewalk and walked away. When Morgan told Whitman to stop and that he was under arrest, Whitman fled on foot. 

Town of Lockport

LARCENY: Allen J. Tomaino, 25, and Paulina V. Dore, 21 of Lockport were both charged Wednesday with petit larceny. New York State Police said appearance tickets were given to both on South Transit Road.

Newfane

MARIJUANA: Travis T. Jefferson, 23, 2360 Fuller Road, Burt and Joshua S. Mellott, 23, 2370 Fuller Road was charged Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were checking the area of Fuller and Drake Settlement roads for a burglary when they saw a vehicle heading south on Fuller Road. The vehicle was pulled over at the intersection of Hess and Charlotteville roads. While speaking to Jefferson and Mellott, deputies said they found a clear bag of marijuana and smoking paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both were given appearance tickets for July 9 in Newfane Town Court.
