BLOTTER: Police reports published July 2

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Cambria

FRAUD: A victim reported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office on June 27 that he signed up on the website www.instantphonecash.net to try and make some extra money and sent an unknown suspect from the website $100 as a start up feeand an additional $300 for loan insurance through Western Union to an unknown suspect from the website. The company then contacted the victim from multiple numbers asking for service fees, tax fees, and other fees for services. At this time the victim believed he was being scammed and contacted the sheriff's office. Patrol attempted to contact the website through a number the victim provided, but all the information patrol could obtain was that there business was in California.
