DWI: Mathtew J. Ingro, 35, 8678 Coleman Road, Barker was charged at 3:39 a.m. Saturday with driving while intoxicated and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway. Niagara County Dispatch was contacted by an anonymous caller who reported a motor vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on Hosmer Road and said the vehicle’s driver was slumped over the wheel and appeared to be sleeping. Patrol located the vehicle near 2348 Hosmer Road. The vehicle’s engine was running and the hazard lights were activated. Patrol executed a traffic stop and interviewed Ingro, the driver. Patrol immediately could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage omitting from Ingro’s mouth and noticed signs of intoxication. Patrol asked him if he consumed alcohol prior to his operation and Ingro allegedly answered “yes, too many.” Ingro failed field sobriety tests. A breath test revealed Ingro’s blood alcohol content to be 0.22 percent. He was remanded to the custody of the Niagara County Sheriff in lieu of $250.
