BLOTTER: Police reports published April 10

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — City of Lockport

CHARGED: Rashell D. Washington, 24, 129 Gooding St. Apt. A was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to signal and second-degree criminal contempt. Washington, who does not have a driver’s license, was stopped for a traffic violation on Locust Street.

LARCENY: Christopher E. Prosser, 461 Park Ave., Lockport was charged at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with petit larceny after sheriff’s patrol investigated a shoplifting complaint at Walmart. Store security stated she witnessed a male, later identified as Prosser, attempt to place two boxes of Yugioh cards and a pair of Everlast grappling gloves under his clothing. The value of all the items is $38.73. The security guard stated she confronted Prosser and escorted him to the security office where she waited for deputies to arrive. Prosser was placed into custody without incident. He was transported to the Niagara County Jail where bail was set at $100.

INTOXICATED DRIVER: Lisa M. Magin, 47, 4484 Main St., Gasport, was charged at 3:25 p.m. Friday with failure to keep right and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Rochester and Gasport roads for a motor vehicle accident. According to the report, the caller — who said she was rear-ended by Magin’s vehicle — said Magin appeared to be intoxicated. A deputy reported Magin appeared to have glassy eyes, impaired speech, and was very drowsy. The report said Magin admitted to Patrol that she had taken three Xanax pills, one Zoloft, and Ambien prior to operating the vehicle.
