Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — HARASSMENT:

Sarah Jane Bassler, 29, 2452 Hess Road, Appleton was charged Sunday with second-degree harassment. According to the report, the complainant told Lockport Police that Bassler had punched him in the face during an argument. He was suffering redness, swelling and small cut to his right check. Bassler was later located by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to LPD custody. She is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court. An order of protection was issued for the complainant.

DISORDERLY:

Joseph S. Davis, 32, 210 East Avenue was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct. According to the report, Lockport Police were notified of a man throwing items into the roadway. They found Davis standing in the road, waving his shirt and refusing to move for traffic. He was highly intoxicated and refused to answer questions for the patrol before being arrested. Davis is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court.

CONTEMPT:

Timothy A. Speer, 40, 64 Outwater Drive was charged Saturday with second-degree contempt, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and multiple vehicle violations following a traffic stop. He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in City Court.

CONTEMPT:

Michael J. Griffith, 18, 81 South St. was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt. According to the report, Griffith told Lockport Police that he was snorting Zoloft pills with some friends and panicked. While he was treated, an investigation revealed a woman at the residence Griffith was found at had a valid stay away order against him. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court.

DWI: Jason R. Darlak, 28, 382 McKinley Avenue, Williamsville was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and multiple traffic incidents after Lockport Police responded to a Vine Street vehicle accident. According to the report, Darlak told police that he lost control of his vehicle and that it had jumped the curb onto a lawn. Police observed him to have red, blood shot, glassy eyes and the presence of an alcoholic odor. Darlak failed multiple field sobriety tests. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in City Court.
