IMPERSONATION: Emily R. Bechtold, 20, 144 Locust St., Apt. 1, was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal impersonation and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. A police officer approached Bechtold on Locust Street regarding a warrant, and when asked for her identity Bechtold gave a different name, the arrest report said. Bechtold was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle, the report said.

DWI: Russell F. Perkins, 33, 7727 Lincoln Ave. Ext., was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, failure to keep right and failure to signal Monday. A city patrol officer initiated a stop on Perkins’ vehicle for alleged traffic violations and determined Perkins showed signs of intoxication, according to the arrest report. Perkins is due Wednesday in city court.

TRESPASSING: Timothy G. Pitiss, 21, 2491 Washington St., Wheatfield, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass Monday. Pitiss is accused of being inside the vacant Switzer building, 100 Davison Road. A night watchman reported seeing four men in the building and identified Pitiss as one of them, according to city police. Investigation of the others is continuing, police said.

HARASSMENT: Jane E. Olear, 46, 23 Prentice St., was charged with second-degree harassment Monday. An Adam Street woman reported receiving unwanted text messages from Olear and an unwanted phone call, police said.

HARASSMENT: Mark D. Lockhart, 45, 185 Washburn St., Apt. 7, was charged Monday with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. Lockport Police said a Rapids Road woman reported receiving a text message from Lockhart, who she has an order of protection against. She reportedly told him to stop talking to her, but he continued. Lockhart is due today in city court.

MARIJUANA: Joseph A. Smith, 24, 21 South St., was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for driving without an inspection sticker. Smith was pulled over for a traffic infraction, Lockport Police said, at which point an officer found Smith’s license was suspended. While looking through the vehicle, officers reportedly found a bag of a green leafy substance, which field tested positive for marijuana. Smith is due today in city court.
