ENDANGERING: Richard J. Miller, 28, 401 Ohio St. Apt. 1 was charged with endangering the welfare of a child Wednesday. The police responded to the report of a domestic incident on Ohio Street on Tuesday. According to the report, Miller found the Internet modem was left on when he came home from work. A juvenile was watching television. He allegedly threw her down and she hit her head on the floor. No injury was reported. Child protective services was contacted. An arrest package was filed and Miller turned himself in at the police station at 3:15 a.m.

Town of Lockport

POSSESSION: Kellie A. Heinz, 22, 54 Gold St., Buffalo was charged Monday with introduction of and possession of contraband while in prison. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Niagara County Jail, where Heinz was reportedly visiting an inmate. She reportedly passed tobacco and rolling papers in a condom to the inmate, which correction officers found after the visit. Heinz is due today in town court.

MISCHIEF: Daniel W. Schaw, 31, 308 Dorwood Park, Ransomville was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies were called to Sunoco on South Transit Road where an employee reported seeing Schaw on security cameras as he started throwing items from the shelves. Schaw reportedly damaged a shelving unit, which was about $50, the report said. An employee said a member of Schaw’s family had just been fired from Sunoco. Schaw was taken to Niagara County Jail on $200 bail and is set to appear today in town court.

Pendleton

HARASSMENT: David M. Cox, 46, of Amherst was charged Monday with second-degree harassment, New York State Police said. Troopers reported that Cox was given an appearance ticket following a domestic dispute.

Newfane

LARCENY: A Fisk Road man told deputies Tuesday an unknown person took a compactor from his property. The Whacker compactor was on a trailer parked in the victim’s driveway and was valued at $3,000, the report said.
