Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Two teen-age boys were treated at area hospitals Sunday after they were thrown off of the bicycle that they were riding down the Clinton Street hill.

Michael Wynn, 16, 131 Erie St., remained a patient at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo on Monday after being taken by ambulance for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Charles Squires, 17, 225 Washington St., was treated and released from Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, after the mid-Sunday accident.

Emergency responders got a call about two males falling off a bicycle on Clinton near Scovell Street around 12:35 p.m. Sunday.

According to witnesses, Wynn was steering a Mongoose on Clinton Street and Squires was riding behind him, by standing on the bike's rear axle pegs, when the bike struck the curb.

Both boys were thrown from the bike and landed on grass and sidewalk, according to police reports.
