UNLICENSED: Ashleymarie Zysek, 19, 32 Corithia St., was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unsafe backing around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Lockport Police said. She is due in court on May 12.

BURGLARY: A Fernwood Drive woman reported that she noticed that her Kindle Fire was missing on April 29, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. Then, on Monday, she noticed that her laptop computer was missing. The woman inspected the front door, and noticed damage to the door frame. The damage indicates that the unknown suspect pried the door open, the Sheriff’s Office said. The woman and her boyfriend leave the home around 5:30 a.m. every day, and return around 5 p.m. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

MARIJUANA: Brandon L. Oliver, 21, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana around 8 p.m. Monday, the New York State Police said. He was issued an appearance ticket.

Gasport

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Main Street woman reported that someone keyed her 2005 GMC Sierra from the passenger side door to the tailgate sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The woman let her son borrow the vehicle on Friday, and the incident occurred at his home in Olcott. The damage was estimated at $300. The case is considered closed due to lack of evidence, the Sheriff’s Office said.

FORGERY: A Saunders Settlement Road man reported that someone took a blank check from his home and cashed it for $150, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The check was cashed on May 1 at a First Niagara Bank in Niagara Falls by his ex-wife’s boyfriend, who forged the man’s signature. The man believes his ex-wife took the check the last time she was at his home, overnight from April 30 to May 1. The case was referred to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, the Sheriff’s Office said.
