LARCENY: Shawn K. Pittler, 26, 133 Chestnut St., Apt. 3, was charged with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy Friday afternoon for an incident that occurred on May 24, Lockport Police said. He was held on $350 police bail and is due in city court on Monday. 

IDENTITY THEFT: Leah McCabe, 35, 51 Ritchie Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with identity theft and possession of stolen property around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Lockport Police said. She was held on $500 police bail and is due in city court on Monday.

COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY: A Walmart employee reported that an unknown male used a counterfeit $20 bill at the store around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said. A cashier at the store said the man purchased around $95 worth of merchandise, and paid with five $20 bills. It wasn't until after the man left that the cashier realized that one of the $20 bills didn't feel or look right, the Sheriff's Office said. Store security was unable to get a picture of the male's face. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau for further investigation. 

ANIMAL PROBLEM: A Lockwood Drive man reported that his neighbor's dog jumped over two fences and entered his backyard and attempted to bite him and his two smaller dogs around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said. The man also said that the dog had jumped through a closed window in a previous attempt to attack him. No injuries were reported in either incident. The owner of the dog said he was going to take action to better secure the dog and said that he may get rid of the dog, the Sheriff's Office said. The Town of Lockport Dog Control Officer will follow up at a later date.

MARIJUANA: Brandon A. Randolph, 21, Lockport, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to notify of an address change, suspended registration, unsafe passing on the left, moving from a lane unsafely, failure to signal and speed exceeding 55 miles-per-hour around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, the New York State Police said. He was issued an appearance ticket.
