CHARGED: Emma T. Zander, 28, no permanent address, was charged with criminal possession of hypodermic needles and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance Wednesday. Police stopped a vehicle on South Transit at 12:35 a.m. for traffic violatons. According to the report, Zander was unable to provide address information. There was an outstanding warrant for her from North Tonawanda. She told police she had several hypodermic needles in her bra and used heroin three hours earlier. She had Xanax in her purse. The driver was given two tickets and sent on her way.

MARIJUANA: Norman A. Daniels, 40, 83 South St. Apt. 1 was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt Tuesday. According to the report, following a verbal argument on Monday, Daniels pushed the victim against the wall. The victim has a limited order of protection against Daniels. He was apprehended at 10:34 p.m. on Main Street, police said.

MARIJUANA: Jennifer R. Sheeler, 26, 192 Park Ave. Apt. A was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to signal Tuesday. According to the arrest report, the police saw a traffic infraction at 7:35 p.m. on Carlton Place. Officers said there was an odor of marijuana in the vehicle, which police reportedly found.

POSSESSION: Alexis R.Vallese, 22, 5973 Ide Road, Newfane was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance Tuesday. The police responded to the report of a suspicious couple at a Main Street restaurant at 2:45 p.m. According to the report, the man and woman came into restaurant and asked for water and vinegar. They left and hunched over in their white Pontiac Grand Am before driving off. Police located the vehicle at Heritage Court and Cottage Street and it stopped in front of the restaurant. Vallese admitted to having hypodermic needles and police located a controlled substance. The vinegar and water were used to melt down Opana, the report said.

BURGLARY: A Lake Avenue woman told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday she was informed by a neighbor her home was possibly burglarized. The neighbor saw a red pickup truck parked in front of the victim’s residence, with one man looking at the engine and another man walking up the driveway and entering the victim’s garage on the south side of the home. The victim said she did not find anything missing from the garage, but three rings were missing from her bedroom. The total value of the rings was $16,000, deputies reported. There was no sign of forced entry. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
