The Dale Road Auto Shop reported a burlarly on Thursday with a loss of more than $1,000. According to the sheriff’s report, two warehouses were entered by someone between 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The west warehouse was entered through the side door, which was pried open. The suspect broke the lock on the trailer door, but nothing was missing inside the trailer. A drivers side window was smashed on a 1989 GMC Sierra. A small barbecue cooker, 10 CD discs and approximately $2 in change was taken. The door of the second warehouse was pried open and an outside fan was also damaged. Items taken from this warehouse included nine electric motors, valued at $100 each, an air sander, valued at $150, and approximately $30 dollars worth of broken jewelry. The case is being forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Dirt bikes valued at $5,000 were reported stolen from an Upper Mountain Road residence. The bikes were a Kawasaki 250F valued at $3,000 and a Honda 450 CRF valued at $2,000. According to the report, the dirt bikes were stolen sometime between 9 p.m. on Tuesday and noon on Wednesday. The bikes were located in the front of the residence near the roadway, locked and chained to a pole. The bikes were for sale. Witnesses reported an older, rusty black truck sitting in front of the residence for about a half hour looking at the bikes on Monday at approximately 2 p.m. and that the vehicle was also seen driving past the house approximately three times on the same day. No one approached the residence in regards to buying the dirt bikes. The patrol located the chain and locks lying near the pole.
