Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — City of Lockport

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION: Michael T. Watkins, 20, 101 Pound St., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a red light at 12:10 a.m. Saturday. He is slated to be arraigned in City Court at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

DWI: Anna M. Giarraffa, 23, 253 Old Meadow Drive, East Amherst, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle about 11 p.m. Friday. According to the arrest report, Giarraffa was seen crossing the center line on South Transit Road, nearly striking oncoming traffic. She is slated for arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday in City Court.

Town of Lockport

SHOPLIFTING: Alyssa R. Fusco, 27, 6590 Parkwood Drive, and Bethany M. Bayer, 30, 6080 Sheridan Drive, Amherst, were charged with petit larceny Friday afternoon after an incident at Tops supermarket, South Transit Road. Fusco is accused of taking merchandise worth $110.49, and Bayer is accused of taking merchandise worth $163.55, from the store, which filmed the acts, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. Both women were given tickets to appear Nov. 21 in Lockport Town Court. 

MISSING PERSONS: Two girls were reported missing from Wyndham Lawn Home for Children, 6395 Old Niagara Road, Friday night. According to the complainant, N’Dia Kelly and Shaunice Gamblin were both found to be missing at 11 p.m. The youths had last been seen at about 10:30 p.m. as they headed to bed. Kelly is an African-American female, 5-foot-2-inches, 141 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Gamblin is an African-American female, approximately 5-foot-2-inches, 118 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A sheriff’s deputy checked the area and didn’t find either girl.

Royalton

INCIDENT: A 54-year-old Lockport man was taken to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight after falling from a ladder at the Royalton Airport on Friday. The man said he was working on a bay door inside an airplane hangar about 9:15 a.m. when he fell about 15 feet onto a concrete floor. The sheriff’s office said he suffered a possible fractured right leg.
