• ASSAULT: Anthony J. Converso, 24, no permanent address, was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child Friday. Converso is accused of injuring a woman while the two physically struggled for possession of a phone at a High Street residence on Wednesday. A juvenile was nearby during the struggle, according to the police report. Converso is being held without bail until his Monday arraignment in City Court.
• DWI: Bradley S. Parker, 29, 282 Willard St., Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated early Friday on Locust Street. A city patrol officer initiated a traffic stop on Parker’s vehicle for alleged failure to signal a turn and determined that Parker showed signs of alcohol intoxication, according to the arrest report. Later breath testing showed Parker’s blood alcohol content to be 0.22 percent, the report said. Parker was held on $250 police bail pending arraignment Monday in City Court.
