ASSAULT: Kristin L. Wallace, 30, 10 Bristol Avenue was charged Friday with third-degree assault. According to the report, Lockport Police responding to a reported fight at a South Transit Road business located Wallace hiding in the rear of the store and detained her. Witnesses told police that Wallace had entered the store appearing intoxicated and agitated; she walked up to a woman and slapped her across the face. She then is said to have struck the victim repeatedly in the face. Wallace is scheduled to appear Monday in City Court.

DRUGS: Michael D. Gillies, 7914 Fletcher Road, Akron, and Tyler J. WIlkinson, 18, 6125 Strauss Road, Lockport were charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. According to the report, a Niagara County Sheriff’s patrol observed a vehicle on Robinson Road with a hanging license plate, no visible registration sticker and tinted window and initiated a traffic stop. A draw-string bag containing marijuana and a glass smoking pipe was found between the driver, Wilkinson, and passenger, Gillies. Gillies told the patrol the drugs belonged to both he and Wilkinson. They are scheduled to appear Sept. 4 in Town of Lockport Court.
