BLOTTER: Police reports published April 20

TRESPASS: Christopher L. Mulcahy, 28, 3 Edgewood Drive, Medina was charged with trespass Friday. The police responded to Waterman Street at 5 a.m. for the report of a man trying to enter a residence. Mulchahy was seen walking from the residence and arrested without incident.

CONTRABAND: William Anthony Jones Jr., 33, 1139 LaSalle Ave. Niagara Falls was charged with possession of contraband while in prison Wednesday. The patrol responded to report of the smell of smoke in the housing area. According to the report, Jones had hidden two small plastic bags containing marijuana in his underwear. Jones had been sentenced to 90 days in jail by Niagara Falls City Court for a separate marijuana possession charge.

CHARGED: John W. Walsh, 30, 6520 Ridge Road, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny Thursday. Patrol responded to Tops Market, where a store clerk stated an unknown man entered the store and after about five minutes he left without purchasing anything. The clerk noticed three non alcoholic beers had been removed from a six pack cardboard case. Patrol began to check the area for the suspect but less than 10 minutes later were told the man had returned to the store. The suspect saw the deputy and attempted to walk in the other direction. Patrol identified the suspect as Walsh and located a pale ale bottle of beer in Walsh’s front left pocket. According to the report, Walsh admitted he took the three beers back to his residence and drank them, then returned to the store and removed another beer from the cooler. The recovered property was returned and Walsh was remanded to jail on $250 police bail.
