DWI: Nick E. Turvey, Jr., 23, 5332 Chestnut Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding Sunday. Turvey was held at Niagara County Jail, in lieu of $250 bail, ahead of a scheduled Tuesday appearance in Newfane Town Court, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

CONTEMPT: Jerry A. Beemer, 60, was charged Monday with second-degree criminal contempt. New York State Police said Beemer was released on bail.

Medina

ASSAULT: Eric M. Ridgeway, 37, 5972 Washington St., Olcott, was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation Jan. 18. Ridgeway was arraigned and held on $2,500 bail ahead of a scheduled return to Ridgeway Town Court on Jan. 27.
