Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — DWI: Robert Bradley, of Buffalo, was charged at 2:54 a.m. Sunday with DWI after he was stopped for speeding on South Transit Road. The vehicle was swerving between lanes and did not pull over right away. Patrol had to use its sirens before the vehicle pulled over. Patrol approaced the vehicle and there was a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside. Bradley showed signs of intoxication but denied drinking, explaining that the odor of alcohol was from a passenger who had been in the front seat. He later admitted to drinking at a friend’s house in Lockport. Bradley failed field sobriety tests and tested positive for alcohol on a roadside screening test. Patrol found two cold and partially full cans of beer located in cup holders of the front seats in Bradley’s vehicle. A DMV check revealed that Bradley had a suspended conditional driver’s license. Bradley had been convicted of DWI in May 2010 in the Town of Tonawanda, making this charge a felony. He was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $750.
POSSESSION: DaQuan T. McDougald, 18, 6493 Dysinger Road was charged at 5:45 p.m. Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Patrol was interviewing McDougald and noticed that he allegedly smelled of marijuana. He admitted to smoking marijuana and, asked of he had any on him, McDougald produced a marijuana cigar from his pocket. He was released on an appearance ticket.
POSSESSION: Roy J. Sutton, 24, of Gasport was charged by State Police on Oct. 7 with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket.
POSSESSION: James W. Walker, 30, and Maurice Mackey, 31, both of Lockport were charged by State Police on Oct. 11 with unlawful possession of marijuana on Robinson Road extension. Walker was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of more than 25 grams of marijuana. Both were released on appearance tickets.
