DWI: Jeremy J. O’Brien, 38, 60 Garfield St., Lancaster was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies saw a suspicious vehicle parked next to the old Toyota dealership at South Transit Road at 3:31 a.m. As a deputy entered the parking lot, a Ford Ranger with Tennessee plates drove away and attempted to exit the parking lot. According to the report, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. O’Brien said he and his friend were looking for a cool place to skateboard. He reportedly appeared confused and disoriented and there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage. O’Brien had glassy eyes and slurred speech, deputies said. He failed field sobriety tests and registered .16 percent blood alcohol content, the report said.

BURGLARY: Deputies responded to West Main Street at 2:54 p.m. Thursday for a burglary complaint. According to the report, someone had entered the residence and took $250 cash that was in a mason jar. The resident noticed that a side window had been opened and there a dirt shoe print on the couch. The floor was wet from the shoes. Deputies took the mason jar for possible evidence.
