Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — City of Lockport

ENDANGERMENT: Alicia L. Alexander, 24, 77 Main St., apt. 702 was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child. Lockport Police said they found Alexander passed out at 293 Market St., lying down half on the grass and half on the sidewalk. She was breathing but was unresponsive. Next to her was a large amount of empty beer cans and an empty stroller, police said. A witness, who was holding the one-month-old baby, said Alexander was drinking heavily throughout the day. She reportedly was so intoxicated she fell over and injured her ankle, witnesses said. Alexander was taken to Eastern Niagara Hospital and given an appearance ticket for city court on Wednesday.

LARCENY: A Simms Road man reported Friday to Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that someone took $4,000 from the glove compartment of his vehicle. The man said he withdrew the money because he was opening a new account, but it was late and the bank was closing so he decided to keep the money in his vehicle. He said he usually keeps his vehicle locked, but there’s a possibility he left it unlocked at some point.
