DWI: Kenneth D. Barosky, 56, 2247 Falls St., Niagara Falls was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended registration and without insurance. Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly saw Barosky driving south on Lockport-Olcott Road, changing lanes without signaling and failing to keep right, leading to an initiated traffic stop in the Rite Aid parking lot. He failed four field sobriety tests, deputies reported and refused a chemical test. Barosky was taken to Niagara County Jail on $750 bail and appeared Monday in Newfane Town Court.
DWI: Ronald S. Folmar, 37, 3747 Beebe Road was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated. Deputies were called to Lake Road, near Olcott Beach, looking for a reckless driver who was swerving all over the road. Deputies saw the vehicle leave the beach area and head west on Lake, which is where deputies pulled him over after seeing him cross the fog line three times. He failed all but one of the field sobriety tests and registered a .2 percent blood alcohol content reading, deputies said. Folmar was taken to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.
MISCHIEF: Brandon L. Rutherford, 18, 8691 Lake Road was charged Monday with second-degree criminal mischief and criminal contempt. Niagara County Probation said during a home visit, it was found that Rutherford had tampered with his GPS ankle monitor. The monitor is damaged, probation said, costing about $2,500 to replace. Rutherford was taken to Niagara County Jail and is to appear Thursday in Somerset Town Court.
DWI: Robert G. Green, 52, 19 Harbor Park was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies said Green was seen on Pettit Street driving west in the center of the road for which they pulled him over. He failed three of four field sobriety tests and refused a chemical test. Green was taken to Niagara County Jail on $750 bail and appeared Monday in Wilson Town Court.Police blotter items published Sept. 4, 2013
