WARRANTS: Eric J. Bartram, 36, 49 Rockland Ave., Clarence, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation Tuesday. At 2:45 p.m., the police responded to South Transit for the report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of the car. According to the arrest report, Bartram appeared disoriented and his shirt and pants were wet. Bartram was allegedly inhaling (huffing) computer cleaners which caused him to pass out and urinate on himself. Bartram had a suspended license with seven suspensions, police said. He also had six warrants out of Niagara Falls and was turned over to the Niagara Falls Police Department, the arrest report said. He is due in Lockport City Court on Monday.

SHOPLIFTING: An employee at Walmart on South Transit Road reported to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office that he saw a larceny on the store’s surveillance system. A black man wearing glasses, a white T-shirt with orange stripes and jeans was reportedly seen taking a pair of metal snips. He used the snips to cut the locking peg for a pre-paid cell phone. The man was approached by an employee then left the store.

LARCENY: A Glendale Drive man told deputies an unknown person took his white mountain bicycle. The bike was left on the south side of the front door and was not locked to anything. The bike was valued at $150.


LARCENY: A Roland Drive woman told deputies when she went to get her birth certificate from her lock box safe, she found the locking mechanism had been broken and some jewelry was missing. What was taken included a 5-carat ruby, an antique ring, and three diamond rings all totaling $8,000. The report was submitted for further review, deputies said.

Town of Niagara

D.W.I.: Andrew J. McGraw, 39, 4939 Chestnut Road, Newfane, was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated and traffic infractions. Deputies said they saw McGraw driving on Military Road, swerving in and out of a lane. Reportedly, deputies determined McGraw was drunk and he refused a breath test. He was taken to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.
