HARASSMENT: Brian L. Shellman, 40, 6146 Ketchum St., Newfane, was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt Sunday. A city woman claims Shellman called her 10 times, pounded on her door and threw rocks at her windows, according to city police. Shellman is due in City Court this week.

POSSESSION: Steven Ruiz, 53, 503 Park Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday. Ruiz was stopped for an alleged traffic infraction and during the stop, a Lockport police officer reportedly found a bag containing a green leafy vegetable matter. The substance field tested positive for marijuana content, the arrest report said. Ruiz was given a ticket to appear in City Court this week.

POSSESSION: Brandon R. Campbell, 27, 121 O’Brien Drive, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle Sunday. Lockport Police said Campbell was stopped for a traffic infraction and several strips of Suboxone were found in his wallet, along with six different pills in his pocket. Campbell is due today in City Court.

POSSESSION: Sara K. Ray, 32, 2766 West Ave., Newfane, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Tuesday. Police were called to Church Street to check out possible drug activity and saw a vehicle quickly turn from Transit onto Charlotte Street. The arrest report said an officer saw three people in the vehicle quickly handing items to each other, one of which was a glass pipe. One and a half white tablets, later identified as hydrocodone, were reportedly found in Ray’s purse. The driver was charged with driving without insurance and with a suspended registration. No charges were filed against the third person at the time of the report.

Town of Lockport

LARCENY: A Ruhlmann Road man reported Monday to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office that his silver 2010 Ford Flex was missing from its parking space. Valued at $17,300, the vehicle had only one key, which the man had with him. A report was filed.
