LOCAL BOWLING: Bennetti-O’Grady win no tap tourney

Staff Reports
Lockport Union-Sun & Journal

LOCKPORT Local bowling giants Terry Bennetti and Mike O’Grady are good enough on their own. Put the two together and naturally, you’ve got the winners of a recent “no tap” bowling tournament at South Transit Lanes.

Bennetti, who holds the all-time Lockport three-game record of 887, and O’Grady, who isn’t far behind in an equally brilliant local bowling career, won the tourney in a roll-off. The top three finishing teams were Bennetti-O’Grady (1,656), Kenneth Leonard/Roger Micoli (1,665) and Robert Nettleton-Mark Nettleton (1,556).

High series scores were Bennetti (300--832), O’Grady (300-824) and Micoli (287-297--802). Other top singles included Mike Christy (287), Nettleton (284), Steve Robinson (280), Marv Patterson (278-275), Chris Nettleton (277) and Ken Nettleton (277).

Meanwhile, Mike and Ralph Primerano rolled a 1,608 to win the junior division title recently at an adult-child no-tap event at STL.

Placing second in the division were Caleb Kitcho and Ricky Mussell (1,604), followed by Nathan and Nick Hinds (1,578).

Don and Donny Voss fired a 1,483 to place first in the Bantam Division. High adult scores included Mussell (300--829) and Don Voss (298--816). Top junior scores included Nathan Hinds (300--723), Colton Kitcho (242--713) and Jenna Geiger (287--709).
