12 — LHS senior Allie Cavagnaro goes 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, sparking head coach Julie Kwoka’s Lady Lions over host Lewiston-Porter, 6-1. Delaney Fragale, Maddie Steen and Kelly Anderson all go 2-for-3 at the plate with Fragale slugging a two-bagger. The Buffalo Bills sign four rookie draft prospects, including Marquise Goodwin. 
13 — Starpoint’s boys and girls track teams both place first overall at their host Spartans Invitational Track Challenge in Pendleton. Clarence is second in the boys division and Grand Island is the runner-up on the girls’ side.
14 — Lockport’s Mitch Loiacano wins the annual DeSales Race For Fitness, finishing the 5K event in 16:29. Medaille College junior Sarah Barrancotta of Lockport, a 2010 graduate of Lockport High School, is honored as a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National Student Athlete Honor Society.
15 — David Pollock, Joshua Beshaw and Brian Farfaglia are double winners in the track Lions’ 102-35 win at Lew-Port. Lauren Wager and Jill Golding net three goals apiece on “Senior Night” as the Lady Lions lacrosse team downs visiting Niagara-Wheatfield, 11-6. Lockport’s newest semi-pro football franchise, the Lockport Rampage, are featured.
16 — LHS graduate Caroline Tolli, a senior at Buckness University, earns her third Academic All-Patriot League selection. Tolli carries a 4.0 cumulative average, while majoring in education and Spanish and minoring in Latin and American studies. Newfane clinches the 2013 N-O softball title with a 7-6 win over visiting Albion. Katie Stedman’s Lady Panthers finish 13-1.
17 — The Lockport baseball Lions clinch the NFL baseball championship with a 6-4 victory over Kenmore East. Brianna Walker records five strikeouts and adds a double in Royalton-Hartland’s 6-2 softball victory over visiting Barker. Anthony Pellicano and Ryan Fisher net goals in Lockport’s 10-2 boys lacrosse loss to visiting Orchard Park.
18 — As expected by everyone, the Bills promote Doug Whaley to general manager.Oxbow upsets favorite Orb to win the 138th running of the Preakness in Baltimore. The Indiana Pacers knock the New York Knicks out of the NBA playoffs in six games.
