SAYLORSBURG, Pa. —
Lockport's Jonathan Reid proved why he's one of the top TQ Midgets drivers in the East last weekend, placing third in the prestigious Rumble on the Ridge at Borgers Speedway in the Pocono Mountains.
Starting 8th in a field of 27 cars, Reid had a great run in the 35-lap race, driving a car built by Mark Lafler with a motor built by Bill Pippard — both of Ransomville.
That wraps up the outdoor season, but there is plenty of racing left as the indoor season begins on Dec. 14 at the Rochester Sports Dome, where the TQ's will reach speeds of up to 70 m.p.h. on the tight indoor track. Then it's off to Atlantic City and Trenton, N.J.
Brett Conkling took the first-place prize of $2,000. He was followed by Ryan Tidman, Reid, Austin Fehr and Lou Cicconi.
