SAYLORSBURG, Pa. —
A special program designed for 7th and 8th grade boys interested in learning the introductory skills and game of lacrosse is being offered at the Kenan Center Arena.
“Winter Gear-Up” is a lacrosse program being offered from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19; Jan. 2, 9, 16 and 30; and Feb. 6, 13 and 27.
Instructors are members of the Lions coaching staff — Scott Reddinger, Karl Griffin and Patrick Bradley.
The cost to sign up is $50 with a deadline of Nov. 8.

Bills 13, Raiders 8
The Lockport Raiders dropped to 3-3 in the Niagara Youth Football League on Saturday with a 13-8 loss to the visiting Tonawanda Bills at Exchange Club Field, Outwater Park.
A pick-6 by the Bills with less than a minute left in the second quarter was the difference.
Head coach Gil Eaton's JV Division Raiders took the early lead on an 18-yard bootleg by quarterback Torree Cheatham, who then tossed a 2-point conversion pass to Kameron Williams.
The Bills' INT cut the Raiders lead to 8-7 at the half.
Tonawanda's winning score came late in the third quarter on a 32-yard scoring pass to the tight end.
Cheatham finished with 91 yards on 15 carries Santino Drake added 83 yards on 10 carries.
Drake also led the defense with 5 tackles. Williams added 4 stops and an INT. Bentley White and Imario Douglass added sacks for Lockport.
Next up, Lockport plays at LaSalle Middle School at 1 p.m. Sunday against the undefeated Niagara Falls Jr. Cobras.
Jim Stephen and Mike Bieger placed first in the Lockport Town & Country Club's 2013 Governor's Cup.
Bill Wincott and Steve Shafer were the runners-up.
