YOUTH FOOTBALL

Bills 13, Raiders 8

The Lockport Raiders dropped to 3-3 in the Niagara Youth Football League on Saturday with a 13-8 loss to the visiting Tonawanda Bills at Exchange Club Field, Outwater Park.

A pick-6 by the Bills with less than a minute left in the second quarter was the difference.

Head coach Gil Eaton's JV Division Raiders took the early lead on an 18-yard bootleg by quarterback Torree Cheatham, who then tossed a 2-point conversion pass to Kameron Williams.

The Bills' INT cut the Raiders lead to 8-7 at the half.

Tonawanda's winning score came late in the third quarter on a 32-yard scoring pass to the tight end.

Cheatham finished with 91 yards on 15 carries Santino Drake added 83 yards on 10 carries.

Drake also led the defense with 5 tackles. Williams added 4 stops and an INT. Bentley White and Imario Douglass added sacks for Lockport.

Next up, Lockport plays at LaSalle Middle School at 1 p.m. Sunday against the undefeated Niagara Falls Jr. Cobras.
