BARKER —

Added Jessica’s parents, “We are so proud of the young woman Jess has become and all that she has accomplished so far. All of her hard work in the classroom and on the field has paid off as she is realizing her goal of studying at a great university like Seton Hill, while being afforded the opportunity to play field hockey at the next level.”
“Jessica is a hardworking, dedicated athlete who sees the field well, and is a team leader that helps to direct the defense,” coach Otto said. “Personally, I’ve enjoyed coaching her as she was a student-athlete who led by example. She will definitely compliment the college team of Seton Hill while pursuing her career in graphic arts.”
Jessica is also a member of American Field Service, Donate Life, Leadership for the Youth of Niagara County, Student Council, Varsity Club, Video Club and Yearbook staff.
Video Club Advisor and coach Jeff Costello said Jessica will be a great asset to Seton Hill in all that she participates in.”
“Jessica is very dedicated to the sport of field hockey, as she has played on many off-season tournament teams and in developmental leagues and has been a member of the USA Field Hockey Futures program for several years,” Costello said.
“She has also been very active in AFS and student government and works at Singer Farms Naturals when she isn’t busy participating in extracurricular activities at Barker. She has a creative side for developing both video and graphics on the computer.”
Carson added, “I’m excited that Jessica has the opportunity to continue to play the game that she is so passionate about. Jessica is an excellent model for all of the Barker student-athletes. She is proof that hard work and determination pays off in the long run.”
