A Town of Lockport man was arraigned Wednesday in Niagara County Court on charges he stabbed a man on Glendale Drive in August.
Jose Molina-Roman, 29, of Sweetwood Drive, is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted gang assault, first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault.
Two co-defendants, Axel E. Antongiorgi, 22, and Jose’s brother, Delman Molina-Roman, 23, both of Sweetwood Drive, were also charged with first-degree attempted gang assault, first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault.
The men are accused of attacking Luis Orona in front of Orona’s Glendale Drive apartment Aug. 12.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to Glendale Drive about 10:23 p.m. for a report of a possible stabbing and reportedly found Orona in the front yard, his face and neck covered in blood.
Orona reportedly suffered a puncture wound to the lower back of his head and another to his chest.
He told deputies he had been jumped by three men after returning from the store with a six-pack of beer.
Orona knew who the three men were, the report said.
Delman Molina-Roman is being held in lieu of $12,000 bail, while Antongiorgi is being held in lieu of $15,000.
Assistant District Attorney Brian Seaman said Jose Molina-Roman is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The men are set to appear for a pre-trial conference Nov. 12. Judge Matthew J. Murphy III set a tentative trial date for March 9.
