Wheatfield
n CHARGED: Elmer L. Lemus, 35, 6826 Plaza Drive, was charged with driving too slow, impeding traffic, and first-degree driving while intoxicated. Lemus was observed on Wiillams Road going 10 mph in a 45 mph zone Sunday morning. Several vehicles, including the patrol car, were being impeded. Lemus failed field sobriety tests and registered a positive reading on the ALCO sensor unit. He registered a .18 percent BAC.
Wilson
n GRAND LARCENY: A Wilson woman reported that her purse was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle on Thursday or Friday. The purse contained four credit cards, $45 in cash, a $25 wallet and her driver’s license.
Newfane
n CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Hess Road man reported that on Friday or Saturday someone drove over about 100-feet of his lawn causing $300 damage. The lawn is on the corner of Hess Road and West Somerset. The victim said that two of his vehicles have been damaged due similar occurrences in the past four years.
Gasport
n STOLEN/RECOVERED: A Berner Parkway woman reported that someone took her 2003 Pontiac Grand Am which is valued at $11,000. The car, which was taken from the driveway, was found about a quarter-mile south of the residence on Orangeport Road in a fielded area by the complainant. No damage was reported to the vehicle, but the keys were not recovered.
