The 2019 LockRock 5K drew more than 80 runners and walkers from throughout the region on Armed Forces Day (May 18). Members of the various branches of the military were on hand to participate in the processional march, present the colors, assist with race set-up and for the presentation of awards. Gordon Bellinger, Vietnam veteran, served as the honorary starter for the race.

This year's first-place male runner was James Dickinson of Buffalo, with a winning time of 16:33.

The top female finisher was Maren Potchatko of North Tonawanda, with a time of 21:08.

LockRock 5K is organized by the Lockport High School Foundation as a fundraiser for LHS student support. In addition to awarding scholarships, the foundation offers financial assistance to students in need taking college courses.
