MEDINA – After affiliating with Rochester Regional Health, Orleans Community Health announced Mark Cye as its new CEO.

Cye, who has been interim CEO since January, brings 20 years experience in the health care field, having worked as an accountant at Eastern Niagara Hospital, three years at Olmstead Center for Visually Impaired in Buffalo, and a total of 10 years at BryLin in Buffalo, where as comptroller he assisted to bring the struggling organization out of bankruptcy.

Cye was the comptroller of Medina Memorial Hospital from 2006 until 2008, when he returned to BryLin.

Since returning to Medina again, he says he has a list of at least 30 things he’d like to see accomplished, the number one priority being to secure more primary care doctors for the area.

Cye led the hospital through the recently announced affiliation with Rochester Regional Health System, to ensure health care remains local for the Orleans County community, he said.

Cye, his wife and their two children reside in Lockport.
