New York State PTA has appointed Tammy Dodge as region director of Niagara Region PTA. She succeeds retiring region director David Steggles.
Calling herself a "Lockport lifer," Dodge grew up in the city, married her high school sweetheart, Rich, and is raising their two children, Liddy and Trey, in Lockport. Professionally, she manages the Lockport Schools Federal Credit Union.
Commenting on her selection as director, Dodge noted that when she first volunteered, she didn't expect to become an officer, or even think of becoming a region director, but when she saw all the "great things that are happening in PTA" she wanted to be a part of it.
Dodge has served many roles in PTA, including president, vice president and treasurer of multiple units, and has been a chairperson, treasurer and associate director at the Niagara Region level.
She considers herself truly honored and proud to be the next region director, looks forward to meeting and working with the PTA membership, and thanks Steggles and the Niagara Region board for their support and guidance.
