BARKER — The Barker Central School drama department will present Mamma Mia! this weekend. It's the first school production of the Broadway musical in Niagara County since the copyright was released last year.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Herbert F. Ludwig Fine Arts Auditorium, 1628 Quaker Road. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets are available at the high school office (call 795-3201) and at the door.

Mamma Mia! utilizes the upbeat and legendary music of ABBA to tell the story of Donna and Sophie, a mother and daughter living on a small island off the coast of Greece. On the eve of Sophie's wedding to Sky, three men from Donna's past arrive, each of whom may be Sophie's dad. Add in zany friends, each with their own unique set of circumstances, and well known songs such as "Dancing Queen," Super Trouper" and "Money, Money, Money," and it isn't hard to see why the musical has been a worldwide sensation for the past 20 years.

The main cast includes: Kylie Annable as Tanya; Joe Cantella as Bill Austin; Dominic Clementi as Sky; Kaitlyn Dauphinee as Rosie; Patrick Dwyer as Sam Carmichael; Nick Guevara as Pepper; Lizzie Hopkins as Sophie; Samantha Howes as Donna; Mitch Johnson as Harry Bright; Paris Moffitt as Ali; and Ellie Voss as Lisa.
